We’ve got receipts. Here’s what they’re saying about OSA.
"This was the first time my child didn’t feel like they had to shrink to fit in."
“At her old school, she was quiet, anxious, and overlooked. At OSA, she found her voice — literally. She’s more confident, she participates, and she’s finally learning in a space where she doesn’t feel ‘different.’ This was the best decision we’ve made.”
—Tasha W., Parent of 7th Grader
"OSA doesn’t ‘fix’ kids — they free them."
“My child with ADHD finally has a school that meets him where he is. He’s not getting pulled out of class, or left behind, or labeled. He’s being challenged in a way that works for his brain. OSA doesn’t ‘fix’ kids — they free them.”
— Darnell S., Parent of 7th Grader
"The teachers looked like me and never made me feel dumb for being curious."
“At OSA, I felt comfortable asking questions — even around older students. The teachers looked like me, understood me, and never made me feel dumb for being curious.”
— Darrell, 5th Grader in a Middle School Class
Despite being the youngest in a class of 7th and 8th graders, Darrell thrived — asking questions daily and performing so well his teachers didn’t even realize he wasn’t in their grade level.
Aquarius Cain and LaTishia Jordan didn’t just create another online school —they built the one they knew had been missing.
A place where students are seen, supported, and stretched — not just tested. Where learning meets students where they are and grows with them.
With a shared passion for culturally grounded, purpose-driven education, they turned their tutoring programs into a full school experience that helps students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
In 2020, they joined forces to co-found the Overachiever STEAM Academy— an online school rooted in purpose, built for potential, and designed to help students grow in confidence, skill, and self-belief.
Together, they’ve helped hundreds of students close gaps, discover their strengths, and step into the version of themselves the system never planned for.
Because when that system refused to shift, they built the school that would.

(Dun Dun.)
I’ve spent the last 21 years in education — as a high school science teacher, a homeschool parent, and the founder of Achieve Success Tutoring. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s in Public Health, and my heart has always been in making education meaningful for every child — especially the ones traditional systems tend to ignore.
I’m known as The STEAM Queen for a reason — I specialize in cross-curricular learning, hands-on projects, and showing students how science, tech, engineering, the arts, and math work together to solve real problems.
I launched Achieve Success Tutoring to create a
results-driven, culturally grounded program where students could build confidence, close gaps, and really start to thrive. After homeschooling my son for several years and seeing what was possible outside of the box, I knew more families needed access to that kind of freedom and growth.
That’s what led to the Overachiever STEAM Academy— a continuation of the community I’d already started building, now expanded into a full online school where students are seen, supported, and stretched in the ways they need most.
I bring 25+ years of experience in education, tutoring, and leadership. I’ve been a tutor, a dean, an adjunct professor, and a curriculum creator — and I’ve helped thousands of students fall back in love with learning.
I have a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Information Technology, and I’m the founder of Stepping Stones Tutoring as well as the author of more than 20 educational workbooks. I’m known as That Math Chick because math is my lane — and I teach it in a way that makes sense, builds confidence, and actually sticks.
I’ve always believed students deserve more than survival. They deserve systems that support their brilliance, not bury it.
As COO of Achieve Success Tutoring and now co-founder of OSA, I’ve made it my mission to create learning environments that are personalized, culturally relevant, and emotionally supportive— because I know firsthand what happens when students finally believe in their own brilliance.
OSA is a full online private school for –grades 6-8.
Students experience STEAM through project-based learning, with projects connecting across various classes—a truly cross-curricular approach. We expose students to various STEAM careers as examples.
